I know, this is a bold topic but hear me out. The Giants have has a transformational offseason and all of those moves could payoff big time. Let’s break down how the Giants could win the NFC East.
The Giants already have the built in benefit of playing in the NFC East, on top of they they also play a pretty soft out of division schedule. They play the Titans, Panthers, Bears, Jaguars, Seahawks, Texans Lions and Vikings. Those are all extremely winnable games. Winning those games and splitting the NFC East games could easily give the Giants a playoff berth.
It is no secret that Joe Judge and Jason Garrett ran one of the worst offensive systems the league has ever seen. Losing the stench of those two automatically has the offense trending up. Now add in Brian Daboll (Former Bills OC) and Mike Kafka (Former Chiefs QB Coach) and they have two great offensive minds from some of the best offensive systems. Saquon Barkley will be a year removed from his ACL reconstruction and that is when players usually get their grove back. There is enough talent here to field a league average at worst offense.
Rookie Draft Class
The new blood could do wonders for the Giants. They added two blue chip prospects in Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal. They also added offensive weapons Wan’dale Robinson, Daniel Bellinger along withe defensive depth pieces Cordale Flott and Dane Belton. They improved every positional need and it will show on the field.
The path to the playoffs isn’t too difficult for the Giants. If a few things go their way, Giants fans may be ecstatic.
